GLADYS MAE MURPHY is an Emmy-nominated documentary film editor.

With over 15 years of experience, she has contributed to over 40 non-fiction projects for TV and film, many receiving top honors and nominations from various film festivals, the Emmys, and the Academy Awards. Gladys co-edited the 2015 Oscar-winning short documentary CRISIS HOTLINE: VETERANS PRESS 1, the 2014 Oscar-nominee of the same category, PRISON TERMINAL: THE LAST DAYS OF PRIVATE JACK HALL, and the 2016 Emmy-nominated LARRY KRAMER: IN LOVE AND ANGER, for which Gladys received an Emmy nomination for Best Editing.  More recent credits include Ron Howard's REBUILDING PARADISE (2020 Sundance), 2018 Emmy-nominated BEWARE THE SLENDERMAN, and LENNY (2018 Sundance).

Gladys graduated with a BFA in Digital Media Arts at San Jose State University and studied Film Production at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.  She is the 2004 recipient of the Fang Quai Award, the Cadre Laboratory of New Media's highest honor for creative and academic achievement.
